July 15, 2022:
On July 14, 2022, the CDC identified Franklin County as medium (yellow) community level. This has changed from green (low). Cases in Franklin County are rising because of the highly-contagious Omicron BA.5 variant. To stay safe, you should stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines. If you are at high risk for severe illness, consider wearing a mask in public indoor settings. If you regularly interact with someone who is immunocompromised, you may want to take a test before you see them and take more precautions, like wearing a well-fitted mask around them. It is important to get tested if you have symptoms.
