FCPH had the opportunity to participate in a virtual meeting over the weekend with U.S. Surgeon General Vice Admiral Jerome Adams and Governor DeWine. The Surgeon General stated we should all be focused on what he called the two Vs – vaccination and vigilance. FCPH received its first shipment of COVID-19 vaccine today and will begin vaccinating our Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel in the coming days. It is an exciting time and an important milestone in our battle against this virus. It will take time to get enough vaccine for everyone which is why we all need to remain vigilant. That means wearing a mask, washing our hands, watching our distance, avoiding crowds, staying home as much as possible and keeping holiday gatherings to those within our household.
It’s also an important time to think of those who may be alone or struggling. Even though we are home for the holidays, you’re never alone. FCPH is proud to partner with ADAMH to help people know if they are stressed or need help, someone is only a phone call away at (614) 276-CARE (2273). Let’s continue to support and care for our loved ones by celebrating safely and reaching out to them with a call, text or video chat to ensure we stay connected during the holidays.
